Leaf Matcha is a fictional brand that produces matcha. I wanted to come up with a unique idea to bring the brand to life, so I decided that Leaf Matcha would specialize in pink sakura matcha instead of regular one. I focused on visually connecting this concept through the design, making sure the packaging looks as “tasty” as the product itself.

PROCESS WORK

1
I started with a messy sketch, quickly jotting down ideas and visuals that popped into my head. It was all about getting my thoughts onto paper, no pressure, just free-flowing creativity to lay the groundwork for the brand.
2
Patterns were always meant to play a big role in this design, so I experimented a lot with different variations. This option had a nice balance, but I wanted something with a softer, more pink-toned monochrome look to fit the brand’s delicate feel.
3
Then, with the direction more refined, I focused on creating the main illustrations and final pattern design. I think I’ve spent the most time on this. This stage brought everything together, and made the visuals feel aligned with the brand’s aesthetic.
4
After working through the designs, I put together a style tile to keep everything on track. I’m a visual person, so it helped me a lot to fine-tune the final details and ensured a well-balanced look across the project. From there, I was ready to bring Leaf Matcha’s branding to life.
